We did it on pdf so that everyone can search the Directory online or printed it exactly the same manner it has been printed by us as the hard copy edition.

PDF or Adobe Reader is more or less a word processor but the only difference is that it would not allow you to edit or copy, although this is possible if you have the paid copy of Adobe Reader.
